Acustica® Basic
Ewona Acustica® Basic is a lightweight and versatile acoustic panel manufactured in Finland for effective sound absorption on wall and ceiling surfaces. Made from polyester fibre, the panel is dust-free and easy to handle. It can be installed as it is or finished with a colour, coating or print to complement the visual identity of the space.
Acustica Basic reduces unwanted noise and reverberation, helping to create a pleasant acoustic environment suited to the intended use of the space.

A versatile acoustic panel for different spaces
Acustica Basic is suitable for the acoustic treatment of wall and ceiling surfaces in spaces where noise and reverberation need to be reduced and speech intelligibility and overall comfort improved.
Typical applications include day-care centres, schools, offices, healthcare facilities, industrial and production facilities, other public spaces and residential buildings.
Thanks to its lightweight structure and ease of modification, Acustica Basic is suitable for both large acoustic surfaces and customised solutions designed to match the dimensions and visual identity of a specific space.
Dust-free material supporting good indoor air quality
Acustica Basic is made from pure and partially recycled polyester fibre. More than 50% of the raw material used in its manufacture is recycled.
The material is dust-free and does not release harmful fibres into the indoor air, even during long-term use. The panels can be cut, shaped and installed without releasing harmful fibres into the surrounding environment.
The Acustica Basic acoustic panel has been awarded the Allergy Label® by the Finnish Allergy, Skin and Asthma Federation and meets the criteria for M1 emission and cleanliness classification.
Colours and finishes to complement the space
Acustica Basic can be left uncoated or finished with a coating, colour or print that complements the visual identity of the space. This allows the acoustic solution to be integrated seamlessly into the architecture and interior design.
The uncoated fibre material is available in solid white and solid black.

Product description
Ewona Acustica® Basic is an acoustic panel made from polyester fibre for wall and ceiling structures. The product is designed for effective sound absorption and is classified as absorption class A. The panel has an impact resistance rating of class 1A in accordance with EN 13964.
The Basic panel can be used as it is or finished with a coating, colour or print. The lightweight panel is easy to cut and shape according to the dimensions and design requirements of the space.
Installation and handling
Acustica Basic panels can be installed on wall and ceiling surfaces without painting or encapsulation. The dust-free polyester fibre is pleasant to handle, and no special respiratory or skin protection is required during installation.
The panels can be cut, shaped and perforated during installation without releasing harmful fibres into the indoor air. Ewona’s insulation knife can be used for cutting and shaping the panels.

CE marking and Declaration of Performance
Acustica Basic is CE marked in accordance with the harmonised standard EN 13964:2014.
A Declaration of Performance (DoP) has been issued for the CE-marked construction product, specifying the performance levels of its essential characteristics.

Tested resistance to microbial growth
The resistance of the polyester fibre material used in Ewona’s acoustic panels to fungal and bacterial growth has been tested in accordance with EN ISO 846. Both uncoated and fabric-coated materials were tested over a period of 28 days.
No fungal or bacterial growth was observed in either material under the tested conditions. Both samples received a result of 0 at all measurement points.
The results apply to the materials included in the report and to the test conditions specified in the standard.
Cleaning and maintenance
Acustica Basic acoustic panels are easy to maintain. Dust accumulated on the surface can be removed by brushing or vacuuming.
More persistent dirt can be removed using water and a mild detergent solution. Strong solvents and abrasive cleaning methods should be avoided when cleaning coated panels.
Recycling
Acustica Basic is made from polyester fibre, and more than 50% of the raw material used in the product is recycled. At the end of its service life, the product is suitable for textile recycling.
