Special tools for cutting Ewona products
Ewona’s products are easy to shape, as long as you use the right tools that are well sharpened. All Acustica, Wool and background acoustic products can be altered using the same tools, regardless of their thickness and density.
Ewona’s material can, in principle, be cut with any large knife, but the easiest and most effective way is to use the Ewona wool knife. Its key feature is a blade specifically designed for cutting polyester fiber. The knife is designed for professional use, making it the highest quality and most optimal choice for this purpose in terms of both performance and durability.
The knife comes with a Fiskars knife sharpener, which ensures the blade is at its most effective for cutting the material. To achieve clean and efficient cuts, the blade must be kept sharp. When not in use, store the knife in its protective case to prevent the blade from becoming dull or damaged, and to avoid any safety risks.
Hole saw
Hole saws are blades compatible with standard arbors, allowing you to cut precisely sized openings in the material. The blades are removable and interchangeable. For blades 30 mm and larger, you only need one standard arbor. Smaller blades require their own narrower arbor. Hole saws are used with a drill or cordless drill. Blades sized 20–35 mm are suitable for openings for electrical cables and water pipes. Larger blades are also suitable for ventilation and drainage pipe openings.
Note!
Serrated hole saw blades cannot be used to cut Ewona’s wool-based products. The cutting edge must be smooth and sharp. However, the arbor itself is standard and compatible with blades designed for cutting many other materials.
Foam cutter
